Taylor began her YouTube career first with a simple ASMR video on her phone. PewDiePie featured her in his video about gaming shortly after she hit the 50,000 mark, which was around one and a half months following the release of her first video. Taylor stopped creating videos at about two months, when she was able to count more than 100000 subscribers. She put all her videos into private because of technical difficulties with the new hardware. After a break of a month and a few months of making new videos, she started and uploaded videos again, among them the popular ASMR 10 Triggers to help You sleep (35 million views by August 2022). The YouTuber posted ASMR 20 triggers that help you sleep in July 2017. (38 millions views by August 2022). In August of 2017, Shane Dawson interviewed her and her audience grew to 1 million YouTube users. Wired UK reported that in February 2019 she earned 1,000 dollars per day by advertisements on her YouTube channel.
Dennis Helfer as well as Elaine Helfer are the parents of Helfer. The two are from German, English, Swedish and Norwegian heritage. She studied at William E. Hay Composite High School in Stettler, Alberta. She lived and worked at the farm of her family alongside her three sisters: Trena, Tammy and Tara. She was 17 when Helfer's modeling agency agent spotted her waiting in line at a theater.
